Help: Phone Freezes on Startup « Result #1 on Jul 24, 2008, 12:16pm »
Hey, I've tried to search for this and looked everywhere, including Google. My phone displays the verizon animation, but never gets past the animation and just freezes on the logo. Then, the only thing I can do is rip out the battery. Everything was working fine until one of the times I was transfering a wallpaper, it did this upon restarting. I tried deleting said wallpaper, but that didn't help. My phone is also out of warranty, so I can't just take it back to the store. However, if I let it get into charging mode, I can access the filesystem through bitpim. What are the steps I can take? And please, if you tell me it's been posted numerous times on this forum, could you give me a link?

Help with a A670 I found in my room « Result #5 on Jan 13, 2008, 11:27pm »
I recently found one in my room that has been wiped clean for some time (no carrier identification and under my phone # it says 000-000-3776)
Here are the questions I have.
#1 - Can I somehow convert this to a different carrier instead of verizon? I have Centennial Wireless now and my Razr recently broke. It uses a SIM card but I was wondering if there was a way to tap into my account irregardless and simply indent the information into the phone to connect to the network
#2 - It says Initial Programming Needed how can I correct this?

To reset the phone and return all setup options to their factory default follow the options below: 1. Press the left soft key for Menu 2. Choose Setup ( 7 ) 3. Choose Security ( 5 ) 4. Enter the Lock code, default lock code is normally the last 4 digits of your cell phone number 5. Choose Reset Phone ( 7 ) 6. Choose Yes and press OK
Re: bitpim - all those who've had success « Result #7 on Oct 31, 2007, 12:23pm »
Hey all,
I managed to get my A670 going under bitpim albeit problematic can be the only word to decribe how it works. I have several drivers I have scrounged across the internet. Some have worked, others just lock up/crash my system. The best method that I have found to work is:
1. Plug in the phone 2. Load BitPim 3. Confirm port settings 4. Click get phone data or switch to file system and try clicking the '+' sign until you get a directory listing. If you get an error, try disconnecting and re-connecting and re-click the plus sign. Eventually you will get connected.
Once connected, you should be able to use the instructions posted elsewhere to get games/pics/ringtones on the phone. Email me and I can see about sending drivers.
the problem is as follows: my a670 will make calls but not receive. mdn and min is correct. over the air programming is succesful, but still no incoming calls. any thoughts?
